The Cookham Village Design Statement (VDS) is a substantial document covering all three parts of our village and their surrounding countryside.  It was prepared by local people and was adopted by the Royal Borough in May 2013 as a Supplementary Planning Document.  As such it is a ‘material consideration’ in planning decisions and should be taken into account by planning officers and decision makers when they come to consider the interaction of new development with its surroundings and neighbouring buildings.  It can be viewed on the RBWM website see: Adopted Supplementary Planning Documents.
